Do I need to remove the ECU?
No. You read the original file with your usual tool (KESS, CMD, PCMflash, bench or OBD), upload it to DaVinci Deluxe · Cloud Edition, tick the service you need, and flash the file we return. The checksum is corrected automatically.
Is it safe for the vehicle?
The engine works only on the original, virgin factory read and returns a checksum-corrected file, so there is no bricking risk when you follow the normal read/flash procedure with a valid original.
